Day 20

Since today is weekend which means it is holiday, so I woke up a bit late. After woke up, Mul and I went to the kitchen to cook for our breakfast. While we were cooking, Dewi came and said that Mrs. Mercado asked us for a walk. She planned to bring us to Santa Lucia Mall around 02:30 PM. We said yes. After we cooked, we had our breakfast. After having breakfast, we washed the dishes and went back to our room. In the bedroom, I didn't know what to do so I just sit on my bed and listened to some songs. Not long after that I slept. I woke up around 01:30 PM and then I took a bath. After that I prepared myself. Around 03:00 PM Mrs. Mercado and her husband fetch us and then we went to the mall. We arrived in the mall around 03:30 PM and we went back home around 10:00 PM. So long ha? yes we spent lot's of time there for shopping. You guys know that girls love shopping, right? hehehe. Day 19

Today was my third day doing teaching practice in Roosevelt College. My class for today was grade 9 Mariveles at 10:15 AM until 11:15 AM but as usual, I had to attend classes at 07:00 AM because Amir had a class at that time.

Finally it was 10:15 AM so I went to the class. Today I expected that the students will do a presentation for each group since yesterday before leaving the class I had asked them to prepare a presentation about the elements of the story "The Summoning of Everyman" but in fact they didn't prepared their presentation. How come?! goshh!! So, I decided to explained and discussed about the elements of that story with the students. After an hour of teaching, finally it was 11:15 AM. Before leaving the class I divided the students into two groups and asked them to list imperative words as much as they can because the next material will be imperatives. After that, I went out of the class and directly went to my room. Not long after I arrived Mul came then I asked her to had lunch in McD. Then we went to the McD to had lunch. After lunch, we went back to school. In front of the school, we saw Iyan and sir Angel were eating squidball, kikyam, and kwek-kwek. Sir Angel asked us whether we wanted to have them or not then we said yes. He said just took what you want, I will pay. So we took what are our favorites and went back to our room. Not long after we arrived, Dewi came and said that Mrs. Mercado asked her whether or not we wanted to have teaching demonstration on Tuesday. Then she said that in the last week our schedule is doing reflections and making self-report to SEAMEO. So, it is better for us just took some data for our report. So the conclusion is there will be no teaching demonstration anymore for next week :)

After that, we continued doing our activities.

Day 18

Day 18

Today was my second day doing the teaching practice. I have two classes for today, they are grade 9 Makiling at 10:15 AM until 11:15 AM and grade 9 Mariveles at 11:15 AM until 12:15 AM. But the same as yesterday, today I have to enter the class at 07:00 AM because Amir had a class.

Finally it was 10:15 AM and I went to the class. Today was the second meeting for Makiling. The students were having group presentation since yesterday I had asked them to prepare a presentation. The class was very interesting. The students deliver some questions and opinions when they had different answer with the presenters' opinion. They were very active. Then, the time's up. Before the students left the class, I divided them into two groups and ask them to list imperative words as much as they can and in the next meeting we will discuss it and have a game. After that the students went out, and the other students of different class came in. Yes, that class was Mariveles. Today was the first meeting for Mariveles and the material was oral presentation. The learning process run well. I finished this class around 12:15 AM then I went back to my room to have my lunch. But before I went back, Mrs. Santos asked Amir and I to accompany her in the next two classes. After that we went back. I went to my room and cooked for lunch. After having lunch, I went to the class again and doing class observation. The two classes finished around 03:00 PM. Then I went to the library. In the library there were some teachers, Iyan, and Mul. We had some conversations and after that one of the teachers ask us to go buy some Philippines food. They called it squidball, chickenball, fishball, and kwek-kwek. I tasted them all and wow they taste good but the most I like are squidball and chickenball. After that one of the teacher bought us a Philippines drink named gulaman. The taste was very sweet. Here are the pictures when we had the Philippines food:

Then we went back to the library. Not long after that, I went back to my room and took a rest because I had a headache.

As usual, today I woke up around 6 in the morning and then I took a shower. After that I prepared myself before entering the class. Today was my first day doing the teaching practice. My class was at 10:15 AM until 11:15 AM but I had to enter the class as usual because my friend, Amir was teaching at 07:00 AM until 08:00 AM and another class was at 09:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

It was 10:15 AM and it was my time to teach. I entered the classroom and started teaching. The class was grade 9 Makiling. The material for today was oral presentation. Firstly, I tried to recall students' prior knowledge about oral presentation. I provided some questions to lead them to oral presentation. Some students raised their hand to ask a chance to answer my questions. Then I gave them chance to answer my questions. After that, I explained about oral presentation to them. Then, I gave an example of oral presentation by showing them a video and we discussed about the video. The students gave comment related to the video. Then, I asked them to make a short oral presentation and present it in front of the class. While some students were presenting their presentation, I asked the other students to pay attention to their friends and after that gave comment towards their friends' presentation. The students were quiet active in answering questions and giving comments. After that, I continued to the next material which is "The Summoning of Everyman" so here I asked the students to read the text and determine the elements of the text. Because the time is almost over, so I divided them into five groups and asked them to prepare a presentation about the elements of the text and tomorrow they will present it in front of the class, and have a discussion together. Today, as usual, I woke up around 6 in the morning and took a bath and then prepared my self for today's classes. Around 6:45 AM Mul and I went out from our bedroom and walked to the teacher's office. But when we were in the outside, we found no one in the school area. Then we decided to wait, maybe the students and teacher will be late because of the rain. Not long, the security came and said that there is no schools for today due to the heavy rain. Apparently, the news was presented last night, and it said that there will be no schools for today because the condition isn't good. So, we went back to our room and changed our clothes. Then, we went to the kitchen to cook for our breakfast and after that we continue washed the clothes. We finished the works around 12 in the afternoon. We went back to our bedroom and not long after that we slept. I woke up around 3:30 PM and went to the wifi area. Around 6 in the evening I went to the bedroom and took a bath. After that Mul and I had dinner and then went to the wifi area. And now I'm doing my blog report :D

Day 15

Today I didn't have any class because of the holiday, yuhuu!! So, today Mul and I just went to the market to buy some ingredients for our meals. After that, we went back to the dorm and cleaned up all the ingredients. Then, we cooked for our brunch. When the foods are ready, we had our brunch and after that we washed the dishes and went back to our room. Today we just stayed in our room all day long because of the very heavy rain.

Day 14

Since today is Sunday, so I woke up a bit late. After I woke up, Mul and I went to the kitchen to cook for our breakfast. After cooking, we had our breakfast. After that we washed the dishes. After washed the dishes, I went to the wifi area to make the lesson plans because I will start my teaching practice on Wednesday. I have finished on making two lesson plans and one more left since I have to make 3 lesson plans. Then, right now I'm making my blog report. Later in the evening, I will continue making the lesson plans.
