Day 1

My first day in Philippines starts on 7 August 2017. But before I tell about my activities on my first day, I'll first tell you my trip from Palu to Manila.

My departure was on 6 August 2017. My friend and I took a flight from Palu at 7:15 AM and then we had transits in two countries, first in Jakarta and second in Singapore. When we were in Jakarta having the transit, the plane was delayed about 5 hours and it was extremely annoying because we had a connecting flight again later on from Singapore to Manila. Because of that delay, we had to checked in into another flight schedule when we were in Singapore. The schedule was at 12:55 AM on 7 August 2017. We were so unlucky at that time. Then, we arrived in Manila around 5 AM. Like other people do, when we arrived, we directly look for our baggage. But, at that time I couldn't find my baggage and the guard asked me to make a claim. It was really a hard time for me. My first time visiting Philippines is welcomed with the delayed of my baggage. Not only that, after claiming my baggage, I had an email from the coordinator who handled this program in Roosevelt. She said that she already waited us for a night and couldn't find us so she went back to Roosevelt, and when we arrived they couldn't pick us up anymore because from Roosevelt to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) takes time around 2 hours. Guys, can you imagine how unluck we were, Goshh!! So, we decided to go by taxi. And yes finally we arrived in Roosevelt College around 12 PM of course without my baggage :') That time was my first day in Philippines and also in Roosevelt College.

When we arrived in Roosevelt College, we met ma'am Dena, the coordinator of this program in Roosevelt and we had lunch together. After that, she accompany us to buy things that we need. Actually not us but me because I'm the one who is loosing the baggage :') and after that she took us to our room. Guess what! The room is quite comfortable, because there are two air conditioners since I couldn't sleep without air conditioner HAHA. Then, she asked us to take a shower and rest.
